Lucas is the man responsible for developing the AI interface that allows Darwin to talk. He is an extremely gifted hacker who channels his talents in the position of Cheif Computer Analyst. He came aboard seaQuest after being kicked out of school for altering grades in the computer. His father, didn't know what to do with him, so he "dumped" him on the UEO. During the 2 years that the seaQuest 2 is being build, Lucas attended Stanford University, graduating Summa Cum Laude in Applied Science of Artificial Intelligence. Yet, for all Lucas' brain power, he's still a teenager, and spends a good portion of his time getting in and out of trouble.
