Manilow Crocker is the "old man of the sea". He worked with Bridger in his younger years, and rejected retirement for the chance to serve with Bridger once again. He is one of the last true sailors, distrustful of technology and always ready to defend his ship. He is an honorable man, respectful of his crew. He also has a tendancy to burst into old sea shanties when morale is low.
